Documents on a record

The Documents tab: how documents are grouped and tagged, how to find one fast, and how to add your own.

The Documents tab is the full file of everything on a patient's record. This is the material Adentris actually reads when it reviews the chart, so it is worth knowing how it is laid out.

The Documents tab grouped by compliance group with category tags

The Documents tab. Every document carries a compliance group and a simpler category tag.

Two labels on every document

Each document has two kinds of label, and they answer different questions:

  • The Compliance Group says what the document is for, such as Service Planning, Treatment and Informational Consents, Contracts and Agreements, Release of Information, or Medical Management. This is what the compliance checks care about.

  • The Category is a simpler bucket for filtering: Clinical, Consent, Admin, or ROI.

You will also see Linked to, which shows whether a document is tied to another entity, and the Date it was added.

Finding a document quickly

  • Use Search to jump straight to a document by name.

  • Use the All / ROI / Consent / Clinical / Admin tabs to filter by category.

  • Related documents are grouped together, for example a Medication Record group or a Consent Informational group, so the list stays readable even on a busy record.

To add something by hand, select Upload. In most deployments, though, documents arrive on their own from your EHR. How that sync works is covered in Integrations.
